With 2011 right around the corner we at big mouths have decided to compile a list of underground artists we think will be on the raise to bigger and better things in 2011. When we say underground, we don’t necessarily mean musically

were talking about artists that haven’t quiet blew up yet, please keep that in mind. Below we have a list of 8 artists we think will do bigger and better things in the New Year than most underground Canadian hip-hop Artists.

PLEASE VOTE AND COMMENT!!! * POLL IS BELOW**

Vote for the Number  1 artist you think will outshine all the others in 2011. Here’s a little bit to know about each artist…

J. Reyez

J. Reyez (Aka Mr. Independent) might not be on everybody’s radar yet but his moves in the game are undeniable. Reyez recently put together an independent tour (The on the raise tour) just off the strength of his international fan base. The tour hit city’s like Toronto, Ottawa, Seattle, and Sydney, and the reaction was the same everywhere, they loved him. Reyez has also bin independently putting together music videos that look professional all year and we suspect that we haven’t even seen the best of what he has to offer. Be on the look out for his new mix tape “What Eye Define” coming soon, and make sure you watch his moves in 2011.

Roti

Roti (Aka The Hip-Hop Chef) has stepped up his game huge in 2010 and it’s only right that we recognize his growth. The response to his recent mix tape (the quick fix with Sinister) and recent videos (Money, Cash) has been increasingly positive and the best part is he’s only getting started. Roti is currently working on a brand new mix tape entitled Half Way Home with Canadian producer Young K (hosted by DJ Whoo Kid). He is also working an album that will be on i tunes and in HMVs across Canada. With both drive and determination, Roti is defiantly someone we can all expect to deliver us great music in 2011.

D-Pryde

D-Pryde (Aka The Young Beast) has been on the low lately but from the things we are hearing he is going to smash the game in 2011. Not only did he sign a record deal with New York’s radio DJ/Personality Suss One but he has also been down there working on his album for most of the summer. That’s right; this 16 year old monster is going to have an album out in 2011. Production and features are mostly unknown at this point but we will keep you updated as the details come in. Aside from working on the album, Pryde joined J. Reyez on tour for a few shows around the world. Pryde has told his fans you can expect to see new tracks and new videos from him in the near future. Watch out for this kid.

JD Era

JD Era (Aka Difference) put out the best mix tape in Canada this year hands down. Th1rt3en featured 13 original tracks with production from Beat Merchant, Don Cannon, Pro Logic and features from artists such as Saukrates, Drake, and Freddie Gibbs. Ever since the release of the tape Era has the whole country waiting for his next move. Some sources say he is shooting videos, some sources say he working on a new album and realistically… he’s probably doing both. But whatever he really is up too we can assure you that it will be incredible.  He has been on our next to blow list for quiet sometime and 2011 is looking like the year of Era.

Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson (Aka Mr. Make It Happen) has accomplished so much in 2010 it’s hard to even keep track of all his moves. He toured and worked with slaughterhouse, put out professional videos, got nominated for awards, and of course dropped his debut album In My Life. Currently PJ is shooting a video in Jamaica and working on his 2nd album which should be released sometime in 2011. Not many artists are on the level that Peter Jackson is on and we believe he can only go up from here.

Harvey Stripes

Harvey Stripes (Aka Makes Hits) has claimed his spot among the top rappers in Canada. His sound is on a higher level than most in the game today and he makes hit singles like you wouldn’t believe. Among other things Stripes shot a few videos this year and picked up features from artists like Jay Vado, Max B, and Jason Derulo. He has also been in the studio working heavily with Beat Merchant and they plan on releasing new music very soon.

Scorese

Scorese (Aka Mr. Underrated) is one of the nicest mc’s Canada has to offer hands down. Not only is he crazy lyrically but he also has a mean swag on the mic. From countless videos like Exhibit Sese to his brand new Willy Wonka video he proves that his visual grind is also top notch.  As team offense’ front runner he will have to bring his buzz to a newer level in 2011. We all know he is always in the studio with Jordan and 2oolman, so let’s see if they can outshine the rest of the city in the new year!

Gully Tha Kid

Gully Tha Kid (Aka the Wild Card) grinds harder than most artists in Canada and the work has paid off. Gully still hasn’t even released a mix tape and his buzz in Toronto is crazy! Gully is still working hard on his mix tape and we predict that The Gully Life will finally see the light of day in early 2011. The expectations are high, but with the local buzz he has created his mix tape can bring his career to a level that even he can’t imagine. He is the future of Out Here and everybody is anxious to see if he can deliver under the pressure. Toronto rooting for you Gully, give the people what they want… a great mixtape.
