A former Miss Toronto Tourism had weapons and drug charges dropped Friday as the prosecution realized it couldn’t win the case.
Zevonique Wilson smiled broadly after Crown attorney Catherine Rhinelander withdrew the allegations, saying the prosecution had “no reasonable prospect of conviction.”
It was alleged the 25-year-old model possessed a Glock handgun and Ecstasy in her Honda in August 2009.
Three days into her trial, Rhinelander determined that the Crown couldn’t prove that Wilson knew there was a gun inside a knapsack beside her in the back seat.
